The Yacht Club de France (YCF) and the Union Nationale pour la Course au Large (UNCL) have joined forces with the Société Nautique de La Trinité sur Mer (SNT) to create the Trophée IRC des Clubs at the SPI Ouest-France Destination Morbihan, the first keelboat regatta in France.
Rule :

1- The Trophée IRC des Clubs is open to boats entering Spi Ouest France Destinations Morbihan in one of the 5 IRC Classes (IRC1, IRC2, IRC3, IRC4, IRC Double) ONLY.
2- It will be brought into play each year and awarded by the President of the YCF and the President of the UNCL.
3- Its purpose is to classify the clubs by retaining for each of them their three best boats in the points classification. It is the Club with the lowest number of points that wins the Trophy.
4- In order to avoid team racing, two boats belonging to the same Club will not be retained in the same IRC class.
5- It is the Skippers Licensing Clubs that are considered for the Trophée IRC des Clubs.

Paris, 15th March 2017

Forty delegates from 15 countries descended upon Cowes, Isle of Wight, the home of yachting in the UK, for the annual Congress of the Spinlock International Rating Certificate (IRC) Owners’ Association. The weekend was hosted by the RORC Rating Office at the RORC Cowes Clubhouse and the Royal Yacht Squadron, with representatives travelling from all over the world including Australia, the USA, Europe, Japan and SE Asia. Discussions varied from technical aspects of the IRC Rule, which is jointly owned by RORC in the UK and UNCL in France, to race management, measurement, and certificate administration.
